Exhibitions: Pumps The Perfect Coupling between Exhibitors and Buyers

The IPVS is currently the only international show in India that brings together national and international pumps, valves and associated systems manufactures. With 55.2 per cent of the exhibitors having found new partners/clients at the fair in 2012, it looks like IPVS created a perfect platform for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The 6th international exhibition on industrial pumps, valves, pipes and systems – IPVS 2012 was held from 14 -16 December, 2012 at Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre, Chinchwad, Pune. This exhibition was supported by Associations - Indian Pump Manufacturer Association - IPMA, Korean Pump Cooperative – Pumpro and European Association of Pump Manufacturers.

The exhibition covered both halls of the auto cluster and hence it comes as no surprise to know that a total of 4000 sq mt was used with 103 companies from 9 countries participating in the show. A total of 3500 industry oriented delegates visited the show.

The show was inaugurated by Han Gyeongsu, Chairman Pumpro along with the advisory board members, S L Abhyankar, Technical Advisor, IPVS; Yagnesh Buch, Dy. GMKSB, KSB Pumps; Sridhar Acharya, GM Marketing, Dover India; K Mohan, MD, Ebro Armaturen; Bharat Ajwani, MD, Tecnik Valves; Nilesh Deshmukh, Marketing Manager, Crompton Greaves and Rupen Vikamsey, MD, Orbitz Exhibitions During the course of the event, Buch and Gyeongsu signed an MOU on the cooperation between IPMA and Pumpro.

International Visitors Account for Nearly Ten Percent of Audience

The international visitors formed 8.5 per cent of the total number who attended the show. The event witnessed attendance from 91.5 per cent Indian visitors. According to the post analysis report of the event, 55.2 per cent of the exhibitors found new partners / clients while 70.7 per cent met their already existing clients / partners. While 88.9 per cent of the visitors familiarized themselves with competitors’ products, 24.6 per cent drew plans to draw new contracts and 49.1 per cent got up to date information about market trends.

According to statistics released by IPVS, 54.4 per cent of the companies are ready to participate in the event again in 2013 while 40.4 per cent of companies do not exclude this possibility. With such a response, one can expect even better things from IPVS in the years to come.
