Offhsore Engineering Technip Becomes Engineering Partner for Brazilian Offshore Projects

Technip has signed a four–year contract with Petrobras to provide projet management and engineering services for Petrobras' offshore assets in the Campos Basin area.

Rio de Janeiro/Brazil – Under the contract, Technip will provide basic and detailed design, documentation update, engineering consulting, planning, control and execution supplies for 13 offshore platforms of Petrobras in the South Atlantic. The French based plant engineers were already involved in the construction of some of the rigs, including the deepwater semi-submersibles P-51, P-52 and P-56 – the largest topsides floatovers onto semi hulls in the world.

Technip’s operating center in Rio de Janeiro will carry out the project management, engineering and procurement.
