Bangalore/India – UL, the world leader in product safety testing and certification, subjected Tata Power Solar’s PV modules to some of the harshest PID-test conditions in the industry:

  • Temperature of 85 ± 5°C
  • Negative voltage of 1000 Volts
  • Relative humidity of 85 per cent
  • Test period of 96 hours

Results showed less than 1 per cent degradation in the modules, while the accepted level is between 4 and 5 per cent. The strong performance of Tata Power Solar’s modules under such extreme conditions showcases the superior quality and reliability of its products.

Commenting on the certification, Ajay Goel, CEO, Tata Power Solar said, “As one of the oldest solar manufacturers in the world, we have exported more than 500MW of modules world-wide over last 25 years. This latest PID-free certification from UL is a testament to our commitment to producing high-quality solar modules that set the standard as best in the world.”
