The approval includes the latest intrinsically safe hazardous location standards for North America.

  • CAN/CSA C22.2 No 60079-0:11, ANSI/ISA 60079-0:09, CAN/CSA E60079-11:02,
  • ANSI/ISA 60079-11:11, CAN/CSA C22.2N.157-92, UL 913 (6th Edition)

AST plans to extend the success they have reached in the industrial market with this product into hazardous area markets such as oil field liquid level monitoring, salt water holding tanks, chemical injection system monitoring, and production facilities requiring intrinsic safety. Without deadband, reflectivity, and foaming issues, submersible sensor technology with PVDF body and cable, and PTFE non-stick diaphragm, this product is an excellent new technology in the marketplace.

Combined with ABS certification, the AST4530 submersible pressure transducer will also be installed in shipping applications where chemicals are being transported. Wastewater treatment facilities will also benefit from the additional approval due to installation requirements in certain atmospheres.
