Water Treatment SPML to Build Water Treatment Plant in Goa
India invests large sums in the modernisation of it's infrastructure. The supply of fresh, clean water but also the treatment of wastewater is of major importance for the emerging country with it's 1.2 billion inhabitants. SPML recently announced the award of a new water treatment contract from Goa's Water Supply & Sewerage Board.

Goa/India – SPML India has secured an order worth Rupees 1.37 billion (about US $ 30 million dollar) for building a water treatment plant. The order has been placed by the Goa Water Supply & Sewerage Board, under the aegis of Public Works Department, Govt of Goa. The board is receiving fund from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The scope of work includes operation and maintenance for five years after commissioning of the capacity expansion project.
