Pumps Sliding Vane Pump for Light–Viscosity

| Editor: Dominik Stephan

Pump specialist Blackmer launches the new STX2A sliding vane pump. The STX2A is a 316 stainless-steel, two-inch pump designed for clean, non-abrasive, light-viscosity fluids and chemicals, well suited for light-viscosity chemical-handling applications that require low flow rates.

While similar in characteristics to its STX3 and STX1220A predecessors, the STX2A provides lower flow rates, operating effectively and efficiently from 15 to 60 GPM (60 to 227 L/min) – a feature that Blackmer believes to be a key consideration for end-users specializing in light-viscosity chemical handling. A push rod allows for pump speeds from 350 to 780 RPM. The STX2A is able of handling medium with a maximum viscosity of 970 cSt. The unit is interchangeable with the company's XD2, TXD1220 and STX1220A pumps, as it shares the same dimensions. Three drain ports allow draining in any mounting position.
