Adsorption technologies are widely used to sepearate mixtures -- but what are the recent trends in these technologies? Dr. Dieter Bathen of Duisburg-ESSen University talks about what to expect for the future in the field of adsorption technology.
Dr. Bathen of Duisburg-Essen University sees two major trends for adsorption technology in the future: First in the development of new adsorbens materials, that combine organic and anorganic properties. Secondly in the development of new processes adsorption processes, that are specially tailored for applications in the energy or biotechnology sector but also for the removal of toxic chemicals.
