DE PUMPplaza PUMPplaza makes a return appearance at HANNOVER MESSE 2013

Since DE PUMPplaza got off to a successful start in 2011, the number of exhibitors and the size of the exhibition area have already doubled. Again in 2013, the Industrial Automation show will provide a cross-industry platform for showcasing pumps and pump systems.

The visitors were satisfied and so were the exhibitors. This was the simple reason cited by the organizers for setting aside significantly more space for the special PUMPplaza exhibition this time around.

25 suppliers of pumps, pump systems and components will put their products and solutions on display in the enlarged exhibition area in Hall 14, Stand L 09. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with the experts from a number of companies and will have access to a wealth of advice. An accompanying series of talks followed by a podium discussion will take place on Thursday, April 11th in the Efficiency Arena which is directly adjacent.

Preview of agenda items at the pump conference:

  • Speed control in cooling systems (Danfoss)
  • Energy-efficient rotary piston pumps (NETZSCH Pumps & Systems)
  • IE4 drive package with synchronous reluctance motor cuts energy consumption (ABB Automation Products)
  • Podium discussion - Solutions for efficient pumps and components (participants: ABB, Flowserve, Netzsch Pumps, Grundfos)

The PUMPplaze exhibition in Hall 14/15 is still relatively new, but exhibitors report that many trade visitors from a wide range of visitors stop by their stands. The organizer from the trade journal Pumpe DE as well as the exhibitors expressed their satisfaction. Proximity to the Process and Energy Automation area in Hall 11 and the major shows taking place in parallel were cited as a major advantage.

PUMPplaza generates considerable interest

Andreas Vandré, Sales Manager at Flowserve, believes that PUMPplaza embodies a realization of the basic idea behind the HANNOVER MESSE, namely to provide an international platform for different industries and end customers. “It gives us an opportunity to maintain existing contacts and engage with new customers. Flowserve put in a successful appearance for the 2nd time in 2012. It is a concept that works and has a promising future.”

Jörg Niermann, Marketing Manager at Getriebebau Nord, stated that “PUMPplaza in Hall 14 at HANNOVER MESSE 2012 elicited an impressive response. We are a drive systems manufacturer, and we are pleased to see that more space has been allocated to PUMPplaza 2013 in Hall 14. We look forward to welcoming many knowledgeable visitors at HANNOVER MESSE 2013.”

The response to this year’s expanded exhibition area will become evident on Wednesday evening when visitors and exhibitors will begin gathering for the big pump party starting at around 5:30 P.M.
