A New Pharma–JV on its Way? “Pharmerging India” Seeks Cooperation Partner in Russia

Is Russia the partner of choice for the booming Indian pharmaceutical branch? A meeting of Russian and Indian government officials and industry represents are expected to fathom the opportunities for a joint project in Chelyabinsk, north-east Russia.

Hyderabad, India – As reported by the Indian pharmaceutical export Gremiun Pharmexil, the Russian provincce governor for Chelyabinsk, Boris Dubrovsky, had proposed the founding of a joint venture in Russland. From the Indian view, this proposal by all means makes sense, Russia is however one of the most important export markets for the booming pharmaceutical and generic medicine branch of the state.

The Indian companies already invest in Russia approximately eight billion dollars (Russian companies release approximately at least three bilion dollars in India).

The Russian domestic market for pharmaceutical medications is required to offer good short-term growth perspectives according to the viewpoint of the branch portal Pharmabiz. In addition, numerous regional export markets remained open through their membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEC).

Chelyabinsk is currently, known in particular as the site of metallurgy, car industry aund raw material funding. From the viewpoint of the Russian raw material and high training level in the country, Governor Dubrovsky sees great possibilities for joint investment projects in Russia.
