Natural Gas Petronet Leases out Capacities at Dahej Natural Gas Terminal

Indian gas giant Petronet has leased out large capacities of its Dahej natural gas terminal to Gujarat State Petroleum, local media reports. Parts of this capacity will come from recent expansion works at the site, speakers explained.

Dahej/India – The Dahej terminal currently undergoes expansion projects that shall help to boost the capacity from 10 million tons per year to fifteen million tons by early 2016. Gujarat State Petroleum is a major local gas distributor for industrial and household customers. As India’s gas outputs stagnate, the company has become increasingly dependent on gas imports, the Indian Economic Times reports.
