Malaysia: EPCC Petrofac Wins 96 Million Dollar Contract for Petronas’ New Gas Facility

Petrofac has secured an EPCC contract from Petronas for its new Bintulu Additional Gas Sales Facilities 2 (BAGSF-2) plant in Sarawak, Malaysia. The 390 MMSCFD capacity plant will include the development of a process and utilities unit, effluent treatment unit, metering skid, installation of a fire water tank, pumps, and flare systems.

Saint Helier/Jersey – Petrofac has been awarded with a new contract worth approximately 96 million dollars by Petronas Carigali, a subsidiary of Petronas, the Malaysian National Oil Company. The Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) scope of work will encompass the delivery of the new Bintulu Additional Gas Sales Facilities 2 (BAGSF-2) plant located onshore at Tanjung Kidurong, Bintulu, in the Malaysian state of Sarawak.

Challenges for EPC Contractors
