Moers/Germany – The newly developed equipment blends two gas streams of different qualities to fuel CHP with a homogeneous fuel mixture. This technology is meant for landfills that struggle with shrinking heating values and volumes of biogas along their lifetime. According to the company, the shrinking heating value can be compensated by gradually enriching biogas with natural gas (NG). The blending is completely automatized and designed to consume the lowest possible amounts of NG, ETW claims. It is suitable to upgrade existing CHPs and enables users to operate their facility independently from land-fill gass supply.
