The use of new materials for lithium-ion batteries also requires a gentle evacuation of the coated battery electrodes. By means of changed parameters, a Soft-Pump-Down can be quickly implemented with the Dryvac systems. Also, by means of easy setting changes, the pressure control of the drying chamber can be adjusted quickly to changing values. The frequency converter guarantees optimal torque in case of changing load statuses, as in cycle operation. Thus, a gentle, quiet and constant turning behavior of the vacuum pump can always be realized.
A Plus in Energy Efficiency
The high requirements of energy efficiency can also be met by the frequency converter; the converter always provides only the necessary energy. This leads to overall low power consumption in operation. The average energy consumption of the Dryvac system is about 30 percent lower than for competitive products in the market.
Including Remote Monitoring
The new Dryvac systems can also be monitored by the user. The so-called Remote Monitoring secures maximum system availability and reduces unplanned production downtimes. The core of monitoring is vibration analysis, which detects signs of a wear, but also informs about high particle entry or formation of deposits. Logging the data enables the display of trends and of potentially critical conditions.
Historical data can also be used to assess the pump parameters. Necessary maintenance can be planned specifically; the respective maintenance manuals including the required tools and spare parts are available worldwide. Maintenance actions are taken only when the condition of the pumps makes it necessary.
Avoiding unplanned downtime of the systems by means of a condition-oriented maintenance leads to a high return on investment and offers the chance to enter a continuous improvement process of the whole maintenance management, but also of production processes.
The multi-faceted functions of the new Dryvac vacuum systems can be adapted individually in order to run the existing vacuum process optimally. This corresponds to the application-oriented product design concepts for which Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum has a tradition for over 165 years.
