The new Optiflex 1100 C of Krohne measures level accurately even when the physical properties of the medium change or the tank shape is irregular. The device can be used for continuous level monitoring of liquids and bulk solids in non–explosive environments.

Using Time Domain Reflectometry technology, the unit measures reliably and virtually unaffected by irregular tank shapes and other non–linearity problems, the company says. Equipped with an integrated display and keypad that can be externally manipulated, the Optiflex 1100 C can be configured without opening the housing cover. A blind version is also available. Multiple blind versions can be configured on site, using a single HMI (Human-Machine Interface) service tool. The 2-wire, loop-powered unit comes with a standard 20 m cable or segmented coaxial probe for liquids and a 10 m cable probe for solids.
