Fertilizers New Fertilizer Plant in Brazil

Brazil tries to overcome its dependencies from foreign ammonia imports with new fertilizer production plants. For a fertilizer facility Brazilian Petrobras selected Technip, together with Haldor Topsoe, to provide basic and front end engineering.

Paris/France – A cooperation of Technip and Haldor Topsoe will provide basic and front end engineering services on a Petrobras grassroots fertilizer complex in Uberaba, Brazil. Equipped with Haldor Topsoe technology, the site will produce 1,500 tons of ammonia per day, beginning in mid 2015. The basic engineering design will be developed by Haldor Topsoe and Technip's operating center in Rome, Italy. Technip local operating center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will execute the front end engineering design.
