The company is the first in the world to organise an Operator World Cup in 2017, which is a competition that is played with Napcon Games Distillers and is targeted at process operators and other process industry professionals. The firm is now introducing a new competition called the ‘Operator World Cup Furnace 2018’. This competition will be played with the organisation’s new Furnace operator training game, which teaches the player to operate an industrial furnace.
According to the company, gamification is vital for training in the process industry and Neste is a forerunner in its field to introduce training games into operator training. The Napcon Games Furnace is an awaited addition to the company’s training portfolio and complements the firm’s learning path with traditional classroom training and training with the Napcon Simulator.
The competition will be played online this time and the semi-finals will be played on a monthly basis between the online players. The three best players of each month will receive five licenses for the new Napcon Games Furnace and Distiller, states the firm.
