India: SPML Infra to Supply Infrastructure Facilities Municipal Development Contracts

SPML Infra Limited has received several new orders for Power Substation, Rooftop Solar Power Plant, Water & Wastewater Treatment, and Municipal Solid Waste Management projects from different states in India.

Gurgaon/India — Regarding the power substation business, the company has received an order of three packages from Power Grid Corporation of India for 16 substations / substation extensions with capacities of 132, 33, and 11 kV in Tripura. Further orders came for instance from Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited for the construction of a 220/132/33 kV grid substation at Ratu (Burmu). Subhash Sethi, Chairman, SPML Infra, commented, “We are excited to receive these new orders to develop power infrastructure in Tripura that is going to accelerate the north eastern state’s development agenda, improve economic growth and citizen wellbeing through quality power supply. It is a significant achievement and we expect to get more power projects in the north eastern states with major focus from centre to develop power projects as they have huge potential."
Water & Wastewater Treatment
Dholera Industrial City Development Limited, Gujarat ordered the construction of a 50 mld water treatment plant, clear water reservoir and a water transmission system with a five years operation & maintenance contract. In the city of Bahadurgarh, SPML Infra will be building a 12.5 mld common effluent treatment plant based on tertiary treatment. The plant consists of two modules and will be constructed on a turnkey basis.
Municipal Solid Waste Management
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited ordered an ICT Platform to track and monitor waste transportation in 640 Indian cities, in order to enable effective Solid Waste Management in Urban Local Bodies. "The ICT Platform - eSBM project will help municipalities across the country to effectively manage and control solid waste collection and management. The financials should gain momentum in the fourth quarter with these new orders and it will strengthen our presence in the power T&D segment,” Subhash Sethi said.
Rooftop Solar Power
Finally, the company was tasked with design, engineering, erection and commissioning of a Rooftop Grid Connected Solar PV System in four different states. The contract was awarded by Solar Energy Corporation and has capacities of 1.000 KW in each state
