Ultrafiltration

More UF Membranes in Less Space

| Editor: Dr. Jörg Kempf

Water treatment modernization projects sometimes stall for lack of space to install an up-to-date ultrafiltration (UF) system.

Ultrafiltration specialist inge watertechnologies claims to have solved the problem with it new T-Rack vario, a rack system for UF modules which cuts space requirements by up to 60 percent compared to conventional solutions. The existing T-Rack system is already known for making good use of restricted spaces, and the T-Rack vario builds on this by allowing each row to operate as a separate filtration line. The feed and drain pipes are integrated in the end caps of the headers, the filtrate connections are welded to the module bodies and headers, there are no O-rings, and all the flanges of the header pipes are mounted in the same plane. The modules can be arranged in either two or four rows. The result is great flexibility at minimum cost.
