China’s consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables has increased in recent years, and attention has shifted rapidly to ensuring a safe, secure food supply. More and more Chinese consumers are starting to adopt the habit of eating a fresh vegetable salad as a side dish, even as meat consumption increases. Consumers are also increasingly prepared to purchase premium, high-added-value vegetables. As a result, MCC regards China as an important strategic market.

MCC aims to enhance its plant factory business further in China through its strategic partnership with Shen Yang Qiushi. Through investment and partnership, the Group will continue to work proactively to develop its business by tapping growing demand in the burgeoning Asian market.
