Innovation Award at Achema 2018 Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who is the Most Innovative of Them All?
It’s happening once again at Achema in Frankfurt: From June 11th to 15th the exhibition of process and chemical industries is being held at the world’s biggest process industry fair. PROCESS Worldwide is showing the most innovative products in eleven categories. In this article we have summarised which enterprises will be nominated and what a product has to do to stand a chance for one of the prestigious awards.
Wuerzburg/Germany – A mobile phone that understands pumps, a virtual chromatography process, an innovative substance: What do all these products have in common? They all received the coveted Innovation Award at the last Achema in 2015. At the end of a festive evening event, out of around one hundred competitors eight companies were able to take their prize home or place it on their stand at the fair.
For the fourth time, at Achema 2018, PROCESS and its sister brands LABORPRAXIS, PROCESS worldwide and PharmaTEC are exhibiting the most innovative appliances and processes in eleven different categories.
The categories are:
- Pumps and Compressors
- Fittings and Gaskets
- Mechanical and Thermal Processes
- Plant Construction and Engineering
- Pharmaceutical Technology
- Measurement and Control Techniques and Automation
- Packaging and Bottling Techniques
- Laboratory and Analytical Techniques
In addition, three special awards will be conferred for focal topics at Achema 2018:
- Flexible Production
- Chemical and Pharma Logistics
- Biotech for Chemistry
At a gala award ceremony on the evening of June, 12th 2018, the shortlisted candidates will be presented and the trophies awarded. Applications can be made on the Website of the Innovation Awards until May 11th, 2018. In general, competition is open to all Achema exhibitors who present an innovative product at their stand which is also already for sale.
The innovation can be a completely newly developed component, a piece of equipment, a technology, a plant, a model process or a further development or improvement that is significantly different from current technology.
Following closure of receipt of applications, all applications will be examined and judged by a jury composed of distinguished industrial experts and specialist editors of PROCESS, PharmaTEC and LABORPRAXIS.
