Pharmaceutical packaging between flexibility and turn key approaches — This pharmaceutical packaging market is growing rapidly and pharma machinery manufacturers are leaving no stone unturned to explore the many dimensions of this critical sector. A ramble through this year's novelties.
Francesco Stanzani has specialized in Industrial Technology at the Ktema Centre in Bologna, Italy and prior to his new role, he was appointed as the Managing Director of TMG UK – the English division of the Marchesini Group.
The Marchesini Group has acquired Axomatic, a company which specialises in the packaging machinery sector and V2engineering which is an expert in developing cartooning machines. The takeovers are expected to strengthen the firm’s cosmetic packaging business.
From April 10–12, the Marchesini Group will take part in Pharmintech, the Italian venue dedicated to pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and biotechnologies. Simultaneously, the Group has organised an Open Factory event in Pianoro, where customers will be able to take a close look at the latest technological innovations of the Marchesini world, especially on the topic of Industry 4.0.
The Marchesini Group will take part in the 55th edition of the China International Pharmaceutical Machinery Exposition (CIPM) that is scheduled to be held from April 20–22, 2018. The company will be showcasing its ultra-technological blister line that includes the Integra 520 V and the new fast bundler FA 04.
The Marchesini Group - together with its partner and co-exibitor Sea Vision - will take part in P-MEC Europe, part of CPhI Worldwide, from November 5 – 7. The machine on show at Stand 110D60 is a SV model designed by CMP Phar.Ma, a new company of the Marchesini Group.
Just before the summer break from its agenda of trade fairs, the Marchesini Group will be taking part in two of the most important packaging venues in Brazil and Mexico. Starting with FCE Pharma, from May 22–24, 2018 at the São Paulo Expo Center and shortly after, from June 5–8, 2018, the Group will be at Expopack, at the Expo Bancomer Santa Fe in Mexico City.
The Marchesini Group will be taking part in Pack Expo Chicago, from October 14–17. The Group will be exhibiting the new MA 400 continuous motion horizontal cartoner, the Turbo-Mek 150 vacuum turbo-emulsifier by Dumek, the Group’s brand specialised in manufacturing of cosmetic processing machines, and the RE 202 rotary labeler.
Packaging equipment specialist Marchesini has acquired Schmucker, which builds stick pack machines for food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Traditionally used for products like sauces and instant coffee, stick packs are becoming increasingly popular for single servings of snacks, nutraceuticals and healthcare products.
With several developments Marchesini meets the customers need to Industry 4.0 solutions. At this year's Achema the Italian packaging specialist Marchesini will introduce many novelties for the Track&Trace, serialization, Industry 4.0 and aseptic packaging sectors. The Highlight will be a robotic blister line with integrated 4.0-Technology.
