Kolkata/India – India’s 20-billion-dollar electrical equipment industry has, after four consecutive quarters of negative growth, shown a positive growth of two per cent in the first quarter of the current fiscal (April-June) largely attributed to increase in exports of electrical equipment from India.

Speaking at a conference held by IEEMA in Kolkata to showcase its flagship event ELECRAMA-2014, Chairman, ELECRAMA-2014 and Managing Director, Yamuna Power & Infrastructure, Sanjeev Sardana said, “The ‘Made in India’ products have seen a wider acceptance in the international market especially in Africa and Middle East countries. We are working towards making India an export hub of the electrical equipment.”
