Screening Machines Built for Difficult-to-Screen Solids

| Editor: Gabriele Ilg

The portfolio of size-separation products, including sieves and screeners, offered by the Virto Group are engineered to achieve separation of difficult solids, and to successfully segregate materials when traditional equipment has failed. The FDA- and Atex-compliant screeners offered by the company offer large-capacity and efficient particle separation starting at particle sizes of 10mm and down to as fine as 7 microns.

Claiming to "screen the impossible," Virto specializes in separating materials that are wet, sticky, agglomerative and chemicallyaggressive. The company's screening products are divided into two distinct product lines: single-frequency vibrating sieves, and multi-frequency vibrating (MFV) sieves. The single-frequency line is known as the Cuccolini Line of products, and is among the world's most popular vibrating sieves for standard separation needs, the company says.

The multi-frequency vibrating sieves are called the ScreenX line, and feature unique, patented MFV technology. It is this technology, the company says, that allows the successful resolu-tion of previously impossible screening problems. The Virto Group offers a host of case studies detailing the screening problems of customers and how they were overcome using Virto equipment. Case studies cover product contamination, mesh-tearing, mesh blinding, capacity issues and others.
