Management Lütgendorf to Leave Clariant

Clariant has announced that Dr. Mathias Lütgendorf, member of the Executive Committee of Clariant, will step down from the company’s Executive Committee. He will leave the specialty chemicals company by best mutual agreement as of December 31, 2015.

To be emphasized are his achievements during the restructuring phase, as well as the divestment of the businesses Textile, Leather and Paper Chemicals,” said Hariolf Kottmann, CEO. “I wish him all the best for his future.”

Mathias Lütgendorf (60) was appointed member of the Executive Committee in April 2009. His responsibilities include the Business Units Additives, Pigments, Masterbatches, Functional Minerals, as well as Group Procurement and Operational Excellence. In addition, he is responsible for the regions Europe, Middle East & Africa and Japan.

Lütgendorf’s successor will be announced shortly.
