Petronet, a joint venture company created by GAIL India and Bharat Petroleum Corp, expects to bring its Kochi LNG terminal online by 2014 due to problems with the LNG pipeline.

New Delhi/India – As the pipeline, linking the terminal with customers in Bangalore and Mangalore, has been delayed, Petronet LNG is expected to operate its upcoming Kochi terminal at full capacity from 2014. The company will commission the terminal by end of this year on schedule however it will operate at its full capacity of 5 million tonnes a year only from 2014. The delay is has occurred mostly due to the land-related issues.
