Supply Chain Management Lapp India Opens a New Warehouse

Lapp India has set up a new Warehouse recently in the western state of Maharashtra in India. Located strategically in Bhiwandi, a city in the district of Thane, the Warehouse which is a part of a shared facility will cater to Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Gujarat, among other regions in the country.

Bangalore/India - The Warehouse facility is spread over an area of 5,000 sq. ft. and currently has a capacity of 200 pallet positions and can also be scaled up further based on any future requirements. Set up with a capital expenditure of $ 82,950, the facility has an inventory of $ 82,950 which can be increased up to $ 331,800 in a phased manner.

Talking about the new warehouse, Sriram Kannan, Head of Operations & IT, Lapp India said, “The location of the new Warehouse offers our Supply Chain Management team the advantage of saving a minimum of one week’s time otherwise utilized for the delivery process. Thus the newly set up Warehouse will help us cater more efficiently to our set of customers in the Western region of the country and therefore enhance the customer experience at large.”
