India: Fertilizer Production KBR to Revamp Indian Ammonia Plant

Houston/USA — Under the terms of the contract, the company will provide a technology license and basic engineering design for the RCF ammonia plant at Trombay, Maharashtra, India. During this project, the existing Ammonia 5 plant will be revamped for energy savings to meet the new energy requirements in India.

The supplier will utilize its proprietary Purifier technology which, according to the company, delivers the lowest energy consumption in the industry, reduces capital costs and improves overall plant operations.

The US-company has been involved in the licensing, design, engineering, and/or construction of more than 230 grass roots ammonia plants and over 100 revamp ammonia projects globally.

Revenue associated with this project has been booked into backlog for KBR's Technology and Consulting Business Segment in 2017.
