Ammonia Fertilizer Joint Venture for Indian Fertilizer Industry

At the behest of the Government, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Krishak Bharati Cooperative (KRIBHCO) have collaborated with Oman Oil Company to set-up a Joint Venture entity namely ‘Oman India Fertilizer Company’(OMIFCO) for production of urea and ammonia.

New Delhi/India – Under this arrangement, OMIFCO is supplying its urea to the Government of India at pre-determined prices for a period of 15 years from the year 2005 and OMIFCO is supplying ammonia through IFFCO as per the Ammonia Off-take Agreement for 10 years at a fixed price from the year 2005.
