Bio Process Technology Joint Forces for Bioprocessing
From January 2012 on, Jülich's Dasgip Information and Process Technology, a provider of solutions for parallel bio–reactor and information technology, has become part of the Hamburg based Eppendorf company.
Therefore, the first exhibition day not only saw the company's first press conference for this year but also the first joint press conference of both companies. Dr. Dirk Ehlers, CEO of Eppendorf and Dasgip's Managing Directors Dr. Thomas Drescher and Dr. Matthias Arnold are looking back on a moved year of common history, but also on the first jointly developed products like a miniature single use bio–reactor.
"The acquisition of Dasgip allowed us to combine our New Brunswick products with Dasgip's for new solutions in bio–processing," Eppendorf CEO Ehlers states. Dasgip, founded in 1991, today has around 70 employees and produces mainly small scale bio–reactors.
