Power Project Jindal Power Commissions Second 600 MW Unit

Jindal Power, a company promoted by Jindal Steel & Power, has commissioned the second unit of 600 MW of the 4x600 MW expansion project at Tamnar in Raigarh district of Chattisgarh on 30 Mar 2014. The Tamnar plant is the country's first Mega Power Project in IPP (Independent Power Plant).

New Delhi/India – The total capacity of Jindal Power Ltd has now reached 2200 MW. The first Unit of 600 MW was declared COD on 14 Mar 2014. These two units have achieved COD within a gap of 16 days which is a record for any power station in the country.
