Mumbia/India 2 Currently, the India FDT Association Executive Committee is actively engaged in planning upcoming activities including an FDT2 developer’s workshop in Bangalore and end user events around the region.

“The India market is very strategic not only from the perspective of its growing installed base of automation, but because it has become a hotbed of activity for software development for FDT2 enabled products. The FDT Group has supported India activities indirectly for several years, however, recent requests by India based automation companies to increase the local FDT activities lead to the approval of the India FDT Association. This new India FDT Association has been structured to allow local control and focus of FDT activities within India,” states Glenn Schulz, Managing Director of the FDT Group. The eight FDT Group member companies who are leading this activity in India include: Dearborn Electronics, Flowserve, Honeywell, Pepperl+Fuchs, Schneider Electric, Utthunga, Vega and Yokogawa.

“We are very pleased to be an active part of the FDT Group here in India. India represents a major industrial market for all types of automation and FDT is viewed as the leading technology that will facilitate enhanced device and asset management as well as improved process performance,” says B. K. Ramesh of Dearborn Electronics, located in Bangalore.
