Evets and Exhibitions India Chem Gujarat Gathers Chemical Industry at Gandhinagar

To promote the Indian Chemical Industry, the Government of India, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, iNTEXTb and the Government of Gujarat & Federation of Indian Chambers of commerce and Industry (FICCI) have jointly been organizing the "India Chem" series of events.

Gandhinagar/India - India Chem Gujarat 2013, 3rd International Exhibition & Conference was held from October. 24th to 26th at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar with the theme “Gujarat: A New Gateway to International Possibilities”. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister for Gujarat State Narendra Modi on October 24, 2013, at Mahtma Mandir, Gujarat in the presence of Saurabh Bhai Patel, Minister of State for Energy & Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat, Indrajit Pal Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, M. Sahu, Addl. Chief Secretary (Industry and Mines) Government of Gujarat and Dr. Arbind Prasad, Director General, FICCI and other captains of the chemical industry.

In all, the 122 participants exhibited best of their capabilities at the event. A series of conferences also ran parallel with the exhibition. The conferences focused on various areas of chemicals including specialty, fine, agro, personal care, dyes, colorants and pigments. Additionally, CEO Forum was arranged at the event. This forum was chaired by Indrajit Pal Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India. The focus of this important meeting was to have all top decision makers together at one platform to have a concrete discussion on taking the Indian Chemical & Petrochemical sector to the next level with the help of Public-Private Partnership.

Overall, the event was an overwhelming success and the participants benefited by the enthusiastic business response.
