India and Japan have immense potential to further strengthen their collaboration in science & technology. There are several joint projects which are already in progress and more are in the planning process.

New Delhi/India – The Indian Union Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Dr. Harsh Vardhan recently held a meeting with the Japanese Minister for Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology (MEXT) Mr. Hirodie Hase in New Delhi. The meeting was a follow up of the six-month meeting earlier held in Japan. India and Japan are in close collaboration on several focus areas and projects such as artificial intelligence, energy, ocean sciences and marine instrumentation, high skill development, use & analysis of big data, research & development and bio information. Both the governments attach a lot of significance on the joint collaborations in various spheres of science & technology.
