In the background of Covid-19, there is an urgent requirement for hand sanitisers across the U.S. Huntsman will donate the first 5-tonne shipment of hand sanitiser to Huntsman Cancer Institute and the associated medical facilities at the University of Utah to help protect the frontline workers treating coronavirus patients.
With an aim to expand Huntsman Corporation’s Specialty Chemicals business, the company has acquired the North American firm CVC Thermoset Specialties for 300 million dollars. The transaction is expected to close this year.
Huntsman took over Icynene-Lapolla for 350 million dollars from an affiliate of FFL Partners. The business deal is in line with Huntsman’s strategy of expanding its downstream footprint in spray polyurethane foam insulation.
