Hannover/Germany – Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) remain a priority as industrial producers continue to integrate and optimize production and process automation systems. Following the success of the MES Conference in 2011 which attracted an audience of more than 200, Deutsche Messe in collaboration with VDMA, ZVEI, VDI and Namur will stage the event again in 2012 as a platform for sharing information on current trends and opportunities to optimize manufacturing systems. Vogel Business Media, publisher of the trade journal PROCESS, and TeDo which publishes the trade journal It&Production will once again be the media partners.

One of the main themes at the event will be vertical and horizontal integration in real-time, which plays a major role both in the process industry and discrete manufacturing. Particular attention will be given to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. MES has benefits for producers in this industry, because these systems can highlight weaknesses and they also help improve production efficiency..
