Liquefied Natural Gas Foster Wheeler Becomes Owner's Engineer for Gas Liquefaction in Louisiana

A Foster Wheeler subsidiary will become the owner's engineer for a new LNG liquefaction plant in Hackberry, Louisiana. The Swiss based engineering company will support the 12 million tons per year plant project of Cameron LNG LLC, an affiliate of Sempra Energy, up to the EPC phase.

Zug/Switzerland – Foster Wheeler's scope of work includes technical assistance for project development, the execution of front-end engineering to support permit applications to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, development of technical specifications and invitation to bid packages for engineering, procurement and construction activities, and technical reviews. The work will also include integration with existing Cameron LNG facilities and may include additional scopes of work as the project develops.
