The customer-support aspect is especially important to users in the chemical industry, because many companies are becoming more integrated between operations and logistics, says Peter Schmidt, sales director for Beumer’s Palletizing & Packaging business unit. Another key consideration in the Sealpac’s development was to simplify operations. “In many cases, multiple operators will work on a single machine, so intuitive operating principles are critical,” explains Schmidt.

The Sealpac also streamlines maintenance, says Schmidt, citing the expectation that with the simplified design, users should be able to conduct their own routine maintenance, except in the case of severe issues. The Sealpac’s user-interface screen is designed with ergonomics and navigation ease in mind, which means that less operator training is required. The high-throughput FFS machine can fill as many as 2,600 bags per hour.
