Trade Fairs and Exhibitions Food & Bev Tech Takes Place in Mumbai

Food & Bev Tech, an expo organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for food and beverage industry witnessed a huge response from the industry visitors. The show which took place in Mumbai from August 22-24, 2014, experienced participation from wide range of companies such Tata Chemicals, Wekfield Foods and others.

Mumbai/India - Ace Hygiene - ALFA UV which caters the industry with UV water purifier’s has launched and displayed a new innovative product for disinfecting the air. The company calls this product as ‘Air Disinfection UV System’ which it launched at the expo. It said that the product is beneficial for companies in the sectors like food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, packaging, etc. as the product reduces exposure of material processing with the surrounding air.

The show also witnessed foreign participation. Botswana Investment & Trade Centre, the investment promoting agency of government of Botswana participated in the CII’s Food & Bev Tech 2014 for the first time. The trade desk mentioned that they received very interesting response from the food processing industry in India to start food processing ventures in Botswana. It further added that the experience and the brand visibility at expo will reap them future dividends in years to come.

Demand for Heath Foods to Increase

Gambia Investment & Export Promotion Agency which was represented by Sohna Sagina, Entrepreneur from Gambia who participated at the CII EXPO mentioned that India is a populous country and people here too suffer from health problems. He added that the products which they were displaying can bring some positive change and believed that the demand for such processed health foods will increase in India.

The Government of Chhattisgarh which was present at the expo displayed huge opportunities for the food processing companies in the State. The State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd also displayed the plans of the upcoming mega food park of which the work has already initiated and invited companies to participate in growth of this sector in the State.
