Dust Emission Technology Flsmidth to supply Dust Emission Technology for Power Plants in China

Flsmidth has received a breakthrough order in the highly specialised niche marked for air pollution control technology in China. The order is from the Shenzhen Energy Company and entails delivery of an advanced dust emission technology for their two coal fired power plants in Southern China.

Valby, Denmark – More than 50% of the coal fired power plants in the world are located in China and they are a major contributor to air pollution. As part of its current 5-year plan, the Chinese Government has given top priority to environmental protection and has introduced new stricter emission legislation.

Flsmidth's supply contract for 36 units of its Coromax dust emission technology to Shenzhen Energy Company will enable the latter to fulfill the strict Chinese emission controls. The system will be installed at the Shajiao-B and Mawan coal fired power plants in Shenzhen, China as an upgrade of the existing electrostatic precipitators. By installing Flsmidth's technology it is possible to catch ultra fine particles while simultaneously reducing the energy consumption.

The order was secured by Flsmidth's business unit for Air Pollution Control, which resides within the Material Handling division.
