Saudi Arabia: Two Workers Dead Fire at Saudi Aramco's Riyadh Facility

On October 19 an explosion occurred at Saudi Aramco's crude oil processing facility in the Alwsea' area, close to Riyadh. Two workers died of injuries sustained in the fire.

Riyadh/Saudi Arabia — In a statement, the company reported that their emergency response teams have controlled a fire that occurred close to a tank of the afore mentioned facility. The incident happened around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday October 19, 2016. According to Aramco, operations were not impacted. "We sadly announce the tragic loss of two workers and 16 injured from a fire", Aramco announced on Thursday October 20, on its official twitter page continuing that Ameen Al-Nasser, Abdul Aziz Al-Judaimi and a number of other senior Aramco officials inspected the accident scene and met with the emergency response teams.
