Afriso's radio remote alarm unit WGL 01 W can monitor filling levels in in flood risk areas, control shafts, open gutters, sewage tanks or everywhere where a certain filling level should not be exceeded. The WGL 01 W features a control unit, audible and visible alarms as well as a battery run remote probe with an internal radio transmitter. The probe works within a radius of about 150 m away from the device, although Afriso claims transmission distances up to 650 m to be possible in un-obstructed setups. A jumper lets the user configure the interval at which signals are transmitted (433 MHz): every 30 seconds or every 10 minutes.

The probe triggers an alarm once it comes into contact with any conductive liquid (e.g. water or watery solutions). The system is self-monitoring and also triggers an alarm if the transmitter has no power or if the battery needs to be replaced. The WGL 01 is supplied with common AC 230 V current and suitable for ambient temperatures from -30° C to +60° C.
