Essen/Germany – "For Evonik the expansion of the plant is a logical response to rising market demand," says Matthias Hau, head of Evonik's Agrochemicals & Polymer Additives Business Line. Investment costs are in the low double-digit million euro range, company speakers explained.

At Wesseling, Evonik produces triallyl cyanurate and triallyl isocyanurate under the brand names TAC and TAICROS for the plastics and rubber industry. Especially the global growth of photovoltaic fuels the demand for these products, industry insiders state (see box text for more detailed information).
