The new product innovation sees the firm replace the standard generic aluminium foil seal with an entirely new Gcube branded aluminium foil seal. The firm opines that the new seal is designed specifically to remove the risk of product counterfeiting while also offering customers the reassurance of improved product protection.

The company’s butterfly valve already offers customers with a number of key benefits over other leading manufacturers. For instance, with a polyethylene based product interface the valve is universally compatible for use with both chemical and food products. Additionally, from an operator’s perspective, it can be very easily and quickly opened by hand and is 100 per cent recyclable.

According to the company, the new branded butterfly valve seal is a significant market development for them. Greif claims to be the first company to introduce a branded aluminum foil seal to its IBC valves. Both the branded foil and safety screw are removable by hand and the technology used will ensure that no foil residuals are left on the valve outlet thus eliminating the risk of contamination. With this new valve, the firm combines safety and easy handling i.e. the hand is enough to open the valve with no need for tools such as screwdrivers or cutters.

The Gcube branded aluminium foil seal is suitable for a range of markets including food and beverage, speciality chemicals, pharmaceutical and personal care, flavours and fragrances and lubricants.
