Hydrocarbon Resins Eastman Expands Dutch Hydrocarbon Resins Plant

Eastman Chemicals has doubled the production capacity of its hydrocarbon resins facility in Middelburg, The Netherlands, making the plant one of the largest in the world.

Kingsport, Tenesse/USA – Eastman Chemical has finished the facility expansion of its Dutch hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins facility. According to company speakers, the production capacity of the Middelburg plant has thereby been doubled. At Middelburg, Eastman produces a range of hydrocarbon resins, rosin resins, and dispersions.

“We continue to see the demand of our hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins grow around the world,” said Brad Lich, vice president and general manager of Eastman's coatings, adhesives, specialty polymers and inks business. “This expansion, in combination with our debottlenecking of Eastotac™ hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins capacity in Longview, Texas, and our expansion of hydrocarbon capacity in Jefferson, Pennsylvania, demonstrate our commitment to growing with our customers and to meeting demand in developing regions.”
