Cooperation Ethylene Projects Cooperation Reloaded: Bechtel and Linde Offer Joint Ethylene Projects in America
Bechtel and Linde offer joint services on the American market: their new cooperation for ethylene projects in the state operates from Bechtel's Houston office. Both companies expect to profit from recent shale gas boom.
A transatlantic cooperation enters the next round: after building an ethylene production facility in Abu-Dhabi, United Arabian Emrirates, American engineering company Bechtel and German based gas specialist Linde team up again for other ethylene projects on the American market. Operating from Bechtel's office in Houston, Texas, the team will provide turnkey ethylene solutions for North American customers. Bechtle looks back on about a century experience in engineering while Linde is a major supplier of industrial gasses and gas processing facilities.
The cooperation expects to profit from petrochemical projects in the wake of the recent American shale gas boom, as Jack Futcher, president of Bechtel’s Oil, Gas & Chemicals, explains: “With the growth in shale gas production in North America, ethylene producers are planning new grass-roots projects and major expansions, and they need a world-class team to deliver them." Futcher sees Linde as an ideal partner for these projects: “Linde’s record of success makes the company a strong partner for Bechtel. We are thrilled to be working with them again.”
And also Linde is "excited about the renewed collaboration with Bechtel in North America which couples the best ethylene technology with the most experienced direct-hire EPC company in North America. Together we shall offer the most competitive ethylene solutions to the North American petrochemical industry,” as Dr. Aldo Belloni, member of the Executive Board of Linde AG, puts it.
