According to Martin Engineering, their one-piece blade PV conveyor belt cleaner contains approx. 20 % more urethane than comparable primary cleaners, yielding a long life in heavy conditions. This design for gravel applications, the manufacturer says, is able to remove even wet, sticky sand from belts 18 to 72 in (450 to 1800 mm) wide.

Engineered to simplify maintenance, the mounting system delivers “no-tool” replacement, as it is simply dropped into place and secured with a wire lock pin. The belt cleaner features Martin Engineerings patented Constant Angle Radial Pressure (CARP) design for consistent cleaning throughout all stages of blade life. The specially-engineered curved blade maintains the same contact angle, even as the belt wears, helping to retain cleaning efficiency. The cleaner fits pulleys up to 16 in (406 mm) diameter and belt widths from 12 to 72 in (300 to 1800 mm). It can accommodate a standard cable tensioner, spring tensioner or the Martin Twist Tensioner. The frame can be fitted with solid or segmented blades. Maximum recommended belt speed is 500 fpm (2.54 m/s).
