Subsea Development Contract for Glenlivet Subsea Development awarded

After receiving the contract for the Edradour subsea development in July 2014, Technip has now been awarded the contract for the parallel Glenlivet oil field.

Paris/France — Technip has been awarded a contract by Total E&P UK for the subsea development of the Glenlivet field located 90km northwest of Shetlands in the UK waters. The agreement is building on the previously awarded of contract for the parallel Edradour subsea development,

The Glenlivet specific scope includes the fabrication and installation of 12" production pipeline and 6" MEG pipeline complete with a 2" piggy backed service line, the supply and installation of steel tube umbilical, manufactured at Technip Umbilicals facility in Newcastle, UK, as well as the supply and installation of flexible tails from Flexi France, the Group’s manufacturing plant in Le Trait, France. Furthermore Technip will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of pipeline end manifold, flowline end terminations, flexible tails and rigid well tie-in spools, and the installation of CPI (company provided item) templates and manifolds, as well as rock dumping and pre-commissioning.

The Technip Group will leverage its vertical position in the subsea business. Their operating center in Oslo, Norway, will execute the project in full synergy with the previously awarded Edradour project. Vessels from the Group fleet will perform the installation in the summer seasons of 2016 and 2017. The pipelines will be fabricated at Technip’s spool base at Evanton, UK, and installed by Technip’s vessel Deep Energy. Umbilicals will be manufactured at their new umbilicals facility in Newcastle, UK.
