A new automatic sensor cleaner is said to cut the need for maintenance of Hydra ammonium and nitrate analyzers manufactured by Electro-Chemical Devices (ECD), and to improve sensor accuracy. The AC10 Air Blast Spray Cleaner uses compressed air to generate turbulence in the water around the measurement end of the sensor. By preventing the buildup of biofilms and other soft coatings, this increases sensor maintenance intervals and helps maintain accuracy in turbid water. Each AC10 unit incorporates its own compressor in a rugged housing, and works in conjunction with a sensor spray head and C22 Analyzer/Controller to clean up to two sensors.
