Sales Clariant Divests its Detergents & Intermediates Business

Swiss speciality chemicals company Clariant has sold off its Detergents & Intermediates business unit: The branch was acquired by the International Chemical Investors Group for US $ 63.9 million.

Muttenz/Switzerland – The divestiture follows restructuring attempts that already saw the sales of Clariant's Textile Chemicals and Paper Specialties branches as well as the company's Emulsions business. A sale of the Leather Services unit to Stahl Holding is expected for the first half of 2014.
