China: Connected Plant Chinese Process Industry Discusses Opportunities of Digitization
More than 300 users and operators from the process industry in China met for the 3rd Process Intelligent Manufacturing Forum of PROCESS China in Hangzhou. In addition to exhibitions, networking and lectures by recognized experts, a visit to the online trading specialists of the Alibaba Group was on the agenda.

Hangzhou/China - Würzburg/Germany – The 3rd Process Intelligent Manufacturing Forum organized by PROCESS China showed once again how intensively the Chinese process industry is dealing with the opportunities and challenges of digitization. The event took place on 22/23 August at the Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. This year, more than 300 participants from the chemical process industry registered to update themselves on this important topic.
PROCESS China was able to attract top experts and speakers from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Zhejiang University of Engineering, and leading chemical companies such as BASF, Sinochem, Chemchina, etc. International technology providers such as Endress+Hauser, Siemens, Siveco, Rotork, etc. also took part in the forum.
On the second day of the forum, a tour led to Alibaba Group to experience and discuss Alibaba's Big Data Capacity Building and Enterprise Digital Transformation solutions. The event in China is the counterpart to the German Smart Process Manufacturing Congress, which will be held for the third time in Würzburg from 24 to 25 September 2019 as a follow-up to the Digital Plant Congress.
